MEMBERSHIP

 

Full Club membership is open to:

 

  • 1.                   The registered Blind and the registered partially sighted with a valid registration document.

  •  

  • 2.                   Over the age of 16.

  •  

  • 3.                   Living in Yeovil and surrounding areas.

  •  

  • 4.                   On receipt of the appropriate membership fee.

  •  

  • 5.                   Must not hold a valid driving licence.

  •  

  • Social membership is open to:

  •  

  • 1.                   Sighted persons willing to support the club

  •  

  • 2.                   Over the age of 16.

  •  

  • TOURNAMENT ENTRY

  •  

  • 1.                   Visually Impaired paid up members may put their name forward for all home and away games.

  •  

  • 2.                   The appropriate entry fee must be paid at the time of entry.

  •  

  • 3.                   The team or teams will be selected by the club captain; the club captain’s decision is final.

  •  

  • 4.                   Bowlers must be in possession of an up to date V.I.B.E.  sight certificate.  In addition a separate British Blind Sport sight certificate may also be obtained for some competitions. Only certificates obtained through the club secretary are acceptable.

  •  

  • 5.                   Bowlers are responsible for their own transport arrangements.

  •  

  • PLAYING RULES

  • Home Tournaments

  •  

  • 1.                   All Visually Impaired Bowlers must adhere to the rules of the game as laid down by the Visually Impaired Bowls England, unless superseded by Yeovil Visually Impaired Bowls Club playing rules.

  •  

  • 2.                   All Visually Impaired Bowlers must be in possession of an up to date V.I.B.E. sight certificate.

  •  

  • 3.                   B 1 Bowlers must wear authorised blacked out glasses or play as a B 2.

  •  

  • 4.                   Bowlers may use a visual aid when not on the mat,

  •  

  • 5.                   Club No smoking rules apply.,

  •  

  • 6.                   Bowlers are responsible for their own transport arrangements.
